MusicLink Ambassador Program

The MusicLink Ambassador Program was established to give an opportunity for high school students and adults to volunteer their time to promote the MusicLink program. MusicLink Ambassadors are invited to participate in activities such as:

• Bringing School Packets to neighborhood schools or community centers to get the assistance of staff in nominating deserving students. If possible, speaking directly to music teachers/band directors about MusicLink.
• Organizing fundraisers under the guidance of an adult.
• Distribute MusicLink flyers to public places where potential parents might see them e.g. libraries, food shelves, day cares, social service agencies, etc.
• Organize a drive to collect new or gently used musical instruments under the guidance of an adult.
• Use social media to spread awareness about MusicLink's mission and programs. Create posters, flyers, or videos to share information about how others can get involved or donate.
• Organize outreach events in the local community to recruit more children/teachers to participate in MusicLink. This could involve setting up information booths at community events or visiting schools to speak about the benefits of music education.
• Help set up booths at PTA events or school concerts
• Make an announcement at school /PTA events about MusicLink or host a table
• Assisting local or state MusicLink coordinators in their work.

This list is not all-inclusive and there may be additional ideas as well. MusicLink Ambassadors work under the guidance of a MusicLink coordinator and will have a log where they can record their activities and hours. Each Ambassador will receive a certificate at the end of service recognizing their contribution to the MusicLink Foundation.
